I am back with another review – Pixie Nourishing Cleansing Balm.
I have been wanting to try out cleansing balm to remove my makeup. There were so many brands to choose from but decided with Pixie’s one. I purchased mine on Sephora’s website. (https://www.sephora.sg/products/pixi-nourishing-cleansing-balm/v/default)
The ingredients include Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Cetearyl Isononanoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glyceryl Behenate, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Glyceryl Stearate, Glyceryl Cocoate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Lecithin, Tocopherol, Cetyl Alcohol, Benzyl Alcohol and Fragrance.
As stated on Sephora’s website, it claims to melt away makeup and impurities to reveal clear, glowing skin. The almond oil, shea butter, and vitamin E provide intense nourishment as it cleanses, leaving your complexion feeling soft, supple, and plumped.
Now on to my opinion.
To be honest when I compare the tube online (on the left) and the actual product (on the right), it looks really different. In the picture, the balm looks really smooth and sleek but the actual product isn’t.
The product is quite thick, maybe because of all the butter ingredients. But I did not enjoy the feeling because it feels like an extra layer on my skin. When I try to wash my hands with soap, I had to wash with force to remove the balm. It does remove makeup but leaving my skin supple and plumped, I doubt so.
Will I repurchase this again? Nope. I don’t really enjoy the feeling of removing my makeup with this balm. I may want to try out the Bifesta’s cleansing lotion. Heard that it has good reviews about it.
Leave a comment if there are good cleansing balms that I should try.
